Lessons from behind the lens

I was driving home from an early morning photo shoot, and I began thinking about the lessons I have learned just this week.  I didn’t learn all of them while I was holding my camera (although you might be surprised at the ones that came from shooting photos), but since I feel like being a photographer has taught me to see the world differently, I feel like all of this applies.

1-Love, joy and patience are fruit that need to be freely offered in EVERY situation.

2-Give, especially when it’s inconvenient.

3-Slow down… even just a little bit.  You’ll see everything a little more clearly.

4-Laugh when things get absurd.  It will keep life in perspective.

5-An hour of relaxation is necessary.

6-Everyone starts somewhere. If you feel superior, go back and look at where you started.

7-Be yourself.  Anything else would be absurd, and then you’d have to laugh, at which point, you (hopefully) would be being yourself.

8-Look for the lessons. God wants to teach you something this week.

Happy Monday and many blessings!
